Pultruded Square Non-Tapered columns give you the same substantial look of concrete columns for less! These columns are made by coated fibers that are pulled through a die where, under pressure and heat, the resins are cured. This allows for a cost savings in the manufacturing process and for you the buyer as well. Offering superior strength and rigidity, fiberglass pultruded columns carry a load bearing capacity of 6,500 Lbs.

They are lighter in weight then the cast columns available. Another difference between the columns is that the Pultruded columns cannot be split. These Pultruded columns will not warp nor rot under heat and they are resistant to chemicals and moisture. More importantly they are resistant to scratching, dings, corrosion, and fading.

Although these columns have  a recessed panel in the middle to give it a little more decorative flair, they are extremely strong and have a very high load bearing capacity due to their shape. The Recessed Panel columns are available in 8" & 10" widths and 6 - 12 foot heights. The footprint of the recessed panel is the same as a standard smooth square column.

Fiberglass Columns are all considered maintenance free for the most part, however there is still the matter of painting. All Fiberglass Columns require painting after installation in order for the caulking to maintain its suppleness and moisture, this allows the caulking to expand and contract with the changing seasons. The Ccolumns themselves do not require any maintenance once installed.

The classic and traditional round, straight column. Exceptional durability and strength to weight characteristics, enabling them to stand up to the elements like no other columns on the market. When you consider the winters we get in Canada and the amount of salt used on porches and front steps, builder grade wood columns aren't a good choice. Not only do the fiberglass columns themselves stand up to the elements but the caps and bases are also extremely durable and salt resistant.

Round fiberglass columns are available in a variety of sizes, are load bearing and arrive unfinished and require painting after installation.
